Us Michiganders may want to deny the possibility out of sheer sadness, but for those of you lucky Portland residents, the multi-talented musician (and fantastic performer) Laura Veirs is offering private lessons. Veirs’ music is poetic and affecting and beautifully honest. I can’t describe what an experience it would be to learn from her — she is amazing.

as per the e-mail:
“Laura is accepting music students in the Portland, Oregon area. If you are interested studying guitar, banjo or songwriting with Laura, please email me at yourheartbreaks@hotmail.com and I will pass along her contact information.
She’s teaching lessons in a rad backyard studio with a wood-burning stove and French doors to her garden. It’s [a] lovely place to learn music and Laura’s a great teacher.” Lessons are $50/hour.
